Render4you Redshift render farm support for 3.5.21

Render4you Redshift Render Farm has rolled out an update, bringing its Redshift version up to 3.5.24.

Please be aware that all tasks utilizing Redshift release 3.5 will now be using version 3.5.24. If you require a different version for your specific needs, we are happy to provide you with a custom version.

Earlier versions will be processed using Redshift versions 2.6.56 and 3.0.67, respectively.

Cinema 4D

  • Added support for automatic displacement without requiring an RSObject tag. Legacy scenes maintain previous behavior via a new compatibility option.
  • Added UV scale, offset, and rotation to the Substance node.
  • Enabled Freeze Tessellation by default in Viewport IPR and the RenderView.
  • Fixed a bug where instanced objects could become visible even if the instance was hidden.
  • Fixed an issue where polygon selection changes from node-based objects were not always detected.
  • Improved performance when loading scenes that reference very large file sequences.
  • Changed the volume padding range to allow negative values.

Maya

  • Fixed a bug in the Redshift installer on Windows that incorrectly set up the Maya.env for Maya 2025 with 2024 paths.

3ds Max

  • Fixed incorrect archival of Bokeh and Distortion image file assets in Redshift Optical Camera settings.

Houdini

  • Added support for Houdini 20.0.751 and dropped support for 20.0.653.
  • Enabled Freeze Tessellation by default in the RenderView.
  • Fixed a bug affecting the default value of the OSL nodes popup widget.
  • Fixed a bug that could enable unsupported OptiX denoising in Redshift RT.
  • Resolved issues in RSLight HDAs related to warnings when loading scenes in Houdini 19.x.

Hydra

  • Added support for Solaris 20.0.751 and dropped support for 20.0.653.
  • Added support for multiple mesh lights referencing the same prim source.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause a crash while working with OSL nodes.
  • Fixed a bug affecting the rendering of ramp nodes with default parameters.

USD Procedural

  • Fixed a bug that could affect the loading of the procedural from the redshiftCmdLine tool on Linux.

Metal

  • Fixed crashes on M3.

Redshift RT

  • Denoiser improvements for better movement handling and convergence.
  • Improved first frame quality and responsiveness.

General

  • Tiles shader now correctly works for lights.
  • Fixed primary ray visibility for the Contour shader in the production renderer.
  • Added a new Distance shader.
  • Fixed a bug with motion vector AOVs when hardware raytracing is enabled.
  • Fixed a bug introduced in 3.6.02 that bypassed OCIO color management when rendering to file in some plugins.
  • Fixed a hang when using OSL shaders.
